Author. Venture Architect. Founder.
Building businesses. Studying systems. Writing what I learn.
Steve Charleson is the Founder & Group CEO of CHARLESON®, where I build companies, advise founders, and study the systems that shape institutions.
Over the last decade, I’ve worked across strategy, communications, brand transformation, and venture building. Along the way, I became less interested in tactics and more interested in patterns. Why do some businesses endure while others collapse? Why do founders repeatedly make the same decisions under pressure? Why do certain brands dominate attention while others disappear despite having better products? Those questions became the foundation of my writing.
Today I publish research notes, essays and field observations exploring psychology, institutions, brands and long-term value creation. Everything I write begins with one belief: The visible outcome is rarely the real cause.
Killing Goliath
Drawing from years of building businesses, advising founders, and navigating the realities of entrepreneurship in Africa, this book explores what it actually takes to overcome uncertainty, build influence, and create organizations that endure.
